Server Status and Login Queue
Updated
Where to check whether WoW Forever servers are up, how the login queue and layers work and what Blizzard has said about them.
Status: Blizzard channels only · No queue times announced
Server status
Official Blizzard channels only. Blizzard has not announced a separate status page for Forever.
| Channel | What is there |
|---|---|
| @BlizzardCS | Blizzard support on X for the Americas: outages, server maintenance, known issues. |
| @BlizzardCSEU_EN | Blizzard support on X for Europe, in English. |
| WoW: Forever forum, Europe | The official Forever section: announcements and developer replies. |
| WoW: Forever forum, Americas | The same for the Americas and Oceania. |
| WoW realm status | The official status page. As of Oct 26 Forever is not on it: Forever has modes instead of realms. Whether it appears, we will confirm at launch. |
Login queue and queue times
A login queue appears when more players try to enter than the server accepts at once. Blizzard has not named the capacity of the Forever servers or the expected wait, so we publish no queue times.
| What | What is known |
|---|---|
| Login queue | Blizzard has named neither the capacity nor any measures against queues. In the beta the queue ran to an hour and longer. per beta data |
| Disconnects | In the beta many players were disconnected right after the queue and sent to the back of a new one. per beta data |
TipDo not leave the queue: logging in again puts you at the back. per beta data
Layering
Layering splits one server into several copies of the world, and players on different layers do not see each other. Blizzard has said layering stays in Forever and will not go away completely.
| What | What is known |
|---|---|
| Layering | Blizzard: layering stays and will not go away completely. Before launch they are fixing two cases: players split into different layers after the loading screen on a boat or zeppelin, and large groups split when entering or leaving a capital. |
| Layering in the beta | Players vanished from sight at zone borders and groups were split. per beta data |
Maintenance and outages
Blizzard has not published a maintenance schedule for Forever. Planned work and outages are posted in the channels above. If only you cannot log in, check your connection and ping first.
